A ladies night out!

Candy, Kate, me and Julez – some of the ladies I work with
Last weekend I was invited to join in Julez’s sister Gaynor’s hen night.
Hen parties are notorious in Edinburgh – loud gaggles of women often dressed in matching bunny ears and custom made t-shirts take over the pub or bar which-ever you happen to be in. You can always pick the bride-to-be, she’s the one covered in tacky ‘L’ plates, with phalluses all over her and of course the fake vale.
Thankfully this was not one of those type of hen nights! Gaynor had organised that we get a movie theatre all to ourselves and then have an Italian meal. Jules organised that Gaynor would wear a cowgirl hat, holsters with water pistols and a sash [way better that ‘L’ plates!] 30 women watched ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ while sipping wine and headed into town to ‘Bar Italia’. They catered for all of us and then brought out a banana & cream balls dessert for the hen to eat! Feed, watered and ready to rock’n’roll, we danced the night away at the ‘Rat pack’ and took random photos of us and any poor stranger who got in the way!
