I would cycle 220-odd miles...

Have you ever seen 135 cyclists on the road at once?
It's lycra-tastic I can tell you and I was fortunate enough to be one of the few women in this cycle challenge, organised by BAE systems in June.
We embarked on a tour of the western islands of Scotland weaving in and out of Arran, Kintyre Penninsula, Bute, Islay and the mainland for 4 days. We had incredible luck with the weather and only one really bad patch of midges!

We raised money for charity, the organisers nominated Combat Stress and I chose to give half of what I raised [£200!] to Arthritis Research UK.
It was a lovely way to see the amazing islands [and distilleries!] I met some great people and they helped me to celebrate my birthday.

I can just imagine how awesome that must have been. And that weather!
