Historic Scotland opened up their castles for free for a weekend, so we used the chance to see Stirling Castle. There were military types with big guns and bagpipes to scare away enemies.
It was fun being tourists again, it is somethin we forget in our day to day lives that there are still lots of cool places to visit and things to do on our doorstep. On our way home we visited Linlithgow Palace which was a big gourgeous ruin, set beside a loch, where your imagination could go wild running around secret corridors, into tiny rooms, up and down straircases into towers, basements, tiny corridors and large empty grand halls.
