4 weeks ago I joined a Samba percussion class. On sunday we had our first gig: the 'Parents Like Us' community event in Leith Links. We brought some sunshine sounds to an otherwise rainy gathering of marquees. The audience of wee kids loved it - esp when Russel [our 'conductor'] got them to yell 'HEY' in all the right places! It was great fun and so good to be part of a band again, working together to make groovy music. For info about the Edinburgh Samba School click here.
