Was it worth it?

The alarm goes of at 4:30 and I drag myself out of my nice warm bed and into the cold dark winter streets to meet Sam. Two and a half hours of driving on dull rain-swept highways north. Bad jokes to keep the driver amused and awake.
'A short clairvoyant escaped from prison. The headline the next day: A Short Medium at Large'
That was the cleanest one, if not the best.
We get dressed in the dark carpark, lashed with rain, surely this is too warm for winter climbing? We are here now, we may as well walk up and have a look. Suprise suprise, up higher things are wintery and the crag suitably plastered with snow. Gaz straps it on. 1.5 hours later I get to climb.
We do our 2 pitches, and head for home before the foreacast storm hits. 2 hours before my train, then 3 hours on it before I am back to bed.
Was it worth it? Hell Yeah!
